5^th International Workshop on Crystal Growth Technology

The Workshop will be held in the Pentahotel Berlin-Köpenick, Grünauer Str. 1, 12557 Berlin, which is located in a walking distance to the old city of Köpenick.
Köpenick is one of the oldest, largest and most green districts of Berlin. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers Dahme and Spree in the south-east of the city.

Transportation to Pentahotel Köpenick

Journey by car

• Autobahn (interstate, highway) A113 until interchange (junction point) ''Adlershof'',
• leave the Autobahn and follow the hotel signs (green panels with designation ''Pentahotel''), i.e. straight across Ernst-Ruska-Ufer / Koepenicker Strasse / Glienicker Weg/ Glienicker Strasse (direction Koepenick).
• Follow the road to its end, turn left into Grünauer Strasse, after 50 m hotel on the right.

Public transportation

From railway station ''Hauptbahnhof'' (Berlin Hbf) take the

• S-Bahn (urban railway) S3 (direction Erkner) and leave it at station Köpenick,
• Change to Tram 68 (direction Alt-Schmöckwitz) or bus 164 (direction S Adlershof) and go until  station ''Köllnischer Platz'', then the hotel is on the left; journey time approx. 1 h

From Airport Tegel

• Take the Bus TXL (direction S+U Alexanderplatz) to station Hauptbahnhof,
• continue as described in the point above
• journey time approx. 1 h 20 min

From Airport Schoenefeld

• Take the S-Bahn (urban railway) S9 (direction S+U Pankow) and leave it at station ''Adlershof'',
• Change to tram 60 (direction Altes Wasserwerk) or tram 61 (direction Rahnsdorf/Waldschänke) and go until station ''Koellnischer Platz'', then the Pentahotel is on the right
• journey time approx.. 30 min
• Note:
  • The price for public transport is 2,30 EUR (Ticket "AB" from Tegel and Hauptbahnhof) or 3,00 EUR (Ticket ''ABC'' from Schoenefeld).
  • From Schoenefeld (Zone C) to Adlershof (Zone B) a Ticket ''BC'' (2,30 EUR) is sufficient.
  • The ticket has to be bought before entering the bus / train.

Journey by taxi

• Distance from Hauptbahnhof approx. 25 km, journey time approx. 35 min, Price approx. 40 EUR
• Distance from Airport Tegel (TXL) approx. 32 km, journey time approx. 35 min, Price approx. 55 EUR
• Distance from Airport Schönefeld (SXL) approx. 7 km, journey time approx. 15 min, Price approx. 20 EUR
• Note: Usually to be paid in cash; credit cards are sometimes not accepted.
